Me and my Grandmother, Emily Rosannah Feild

The author, aged about two years old, feeding my grandmother's chickens at her home in Sussex. I shall always remember my grandmother for her keeping of chickens which she made into a small business. At first the chickens were 'free range' but later my grandmother went into battery farming in quite a bit way. Her favourite chickens were her Silkys and Bamtams. This photo was taken somewhere about 1950.
