MARY ELIZABETH¹¹ WHITFIELD (WILLIAM¹⁰, MATHEW⁹, MATTHEW⁸, HENRY⁷, THOMAS⁶ WHITFILED, ROBERT ROGER⁵ WHITFIELD, ROBERT⁴, MILES³, RICHARD², RICHARD¹) was born 1714 in Duplin Co NC, and died December 20, 1791 in Albertson Township, Duplin Co, NC. She married JOHN GRADY Abt. 1733 in Windsor, Bertie CO. NC, son of WILLIAM O' GRADY and ANNE BARFIELD. He was born 1714 in Dobbs County, NC, and died March 12, 1787 in Albertson Township, Duplin Co NC.

Notes for JOHN GRADY:
All of the sons of John Grady, William, John, Alexander and Frederick served in the Revolutionary War. William's son John was the only soldier killed by the British at the Battle of Moore's Creek Feb.22,1775. There is a monument at the battle site which confirms this.

She married EDWARD OUTLAW III 1736 in Bertie Co., NC, son of EDWARD OUTLAW and ANNE IVEY. He was born 1712 in Norfolk, Va, and died March 22, 1759 in Duplin Co., NC.

Edward Outlaw III owned large tracts of land in Bertie Co, NC and later he received land grants in New Hanover Co, NC (which is now Duplin CO. NC
