Thomas Littleton ( Thomas de Litleton of Frankley) Knight of Bath, and a judge of the court of commom Pleas, authored the celebrated "Treatise on Tenures" He married Jan Burley Chetwynd, widow of Sir Phillip Chetwynd of Stafford, daughter and heiress of Sir William Burley, Knight of Broomscroft Casatle, County Salop. He died in 1481 leaving sons, Sir WIlliam Littleton, Richard Littleton of Pillatoon Hall, and Thomas Littleton II of Speckley, knighted two days after the Battle of Stoke in 1487.
