Jennie B. McKinlay was born September 21, 1864 in Almont, Ontario, Canada, and died January 02, 1926 in Tyrone Township MI. She married Melvin J. Kriger on September 28, 1892 in Newaygo, MI, son of John R. Kriger and Helen M. Snow.

Mrs. Melvin B. Kriger
Jean B. McKinley was born at Almont, Ontario, Canada on September 21, 1864 and died at her home near Kent City on January 2 1926 at the age of 61 years, 3 months and 11 days. While still a young girl she joined the Presbyterian Church to which she belonged until about 30 years ago when she joined the Methodist Church of Kent City. At the age of 18 years she went to North Dakota to visit her sister where she lived three years, then she came to Grant, Michigan where she was united in marriage to Melvin J. Kriger on September 28, 1892. They continued to live in Grant three years when they moved to their present home near Kent City where they have lived for the past 31 years. To this union five children were born, two sons and three daughters, Ernest, Robert and Elsie Kriger and Mrs. Lowell Anderson and Mrs. Edward Stream of Kent City. Besides these she leaves to mourn her husband, on brother, John McKinlay of Grant, two sisters, Mrs. Charles Brown of Grant and Mrs. William Inglis of Walhalla, North Dakota, five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was a most faithful and loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church at Kent City on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. H. Wesbrook. Interment in Idlewild cemetery.
