Fred L. Coe Sr., a wire and repeater technician with Western Union for 52 years, died Thursday at Mt. Diablo Medical Center. He was 91. A native of Holland, Mich., he lived in Pleasant Hill for 35 years. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Pleasant Hill. He was an avid roller skater and repaired skates for many years at Roller World and Skate Heaven rinks. He served in the Merchant Marine. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Anne Stream of Michigan, Joan Fields of Concord and Patricia Nesset of California; sons, Robert Coe of Michigan, Jerome Coe of Fairfield, Fred Coe Jr. of Concord and Bruce Coe of Benicia; 22 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and again Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the service at 11. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette.
