Wright, 74, Kansas City in Clay County, died June 9, 1992, at Spelman St. Luke's Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the McMurry United Methodist Church; burial in White Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Newcomer's White Chapel. Mr. Wright was born near Holt in Clay County and lived in this area most of his life. He was a project engineer in the sheet metal industry, retiring in 1980. He graduated from the Finlay Engineering College and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was an Army veteran of World War II and formerly served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a member of the church. He formerly was a leader for the Boy Scouts of America. He was an amateur radio operator. Survivors include his wife, Jean Wright of the home; a son, Gary T. Wright, Harrisonville; two daughters, Wanda Hale, Kearney, and Valerie Jenkins, Plattsburg, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
