TENNESON(TØNNESON,TENNYSON)/HANSDATTER: Jacob Andreas Tenneson Lavold and Johanna Elisabeth Hansdatter came from Lavold(farm), Flekkefjord, Norway in spring of 1851 to Coon Prairie, WI. Here they were joined in 1852 by Jacob Andreas' father Tønnes Pederson Lavold and in 1854 by his brother Peder Tønneson, wife Bolette Neilsdatter Åmodt and their 3 small children. Bolette died in July of 1854. By spring of 1855, they moved on to the Trempealeau Valley area where they had purchased land. Tønnes' brother Salve Pederson came in 1866 with several of his grown children; sister Rachel Pederson, her husband Bernt Johannesson (Johnson) Loga and family as well as cousins of Jacob and Peder; and descendants of Johanna's family also came to the area.

IVERSON/NIELSON: Andreas Iverson and Gunhild Nielsdatter came from the Søndre Land area in Norway in spring of 1861, first to Coon Prairie, then settled in French Creek, Trempealeau County, WI in 1866. Sisters and brothers also came. Andreas took the name of 'Linderud' sometime after the 1870 Census was taken.

DOPP/SCHMIDT: Johann Joachim Dopp and Fredericka (Johanna Maria Christian 'Fredericka') Schmidt came to the US in the spring of 1862. Johann found work in Prairie du Chien, WI and Fredericka apparently stayed in Iowa until they married in April of 1864 in Clinton, IA. They settled in the Frenchville, WI area. Johann had several sisters and brothers that also came to the US. Christian and Peter Dopp, and sisters: Mrs John (Wilhelmina Sophia Catharina 'Mina') Jarchow, Mrs Johann (Hanna Carolina 'Sophia' Elisabeth) Kopp, Mrs Fred ('Mary' Elisabeth) Pfeiffer, Mrs Johann (Maria Dorothea Joachima 'Dora' or 'Sophie') Stange, and 'Louisa' Sophia Dopp who later married William Schnelling and moved to Omaha, NE.

CLAUSSEN/MESSER: Peter Heinrich Claussen and wife Anna Margaretha Messer and 3 young children immigrated from Schleswig-Holstein in spring 1870 to Chicago accompanied by his parents, Claus Hinrich Claussen and Anna Elisabeth Zismer. The younger family moved on to Frenchville in Trempealeau County, WI the following year. Three of Peter Henry's brothers also came to the Chicago area. They were Claus Frederich Claussen, Johann Dieckmann Claussen and Jurgen Heinrich Claussen. Many Claussen relatives are known to be in IL, IA, MN, AZ, CA & FL. Two of Anna Margaretha Messer's sisters also came, Emma who became Mrs William Raichle and Mrs Fred 'Angnetha' Schweb who lived in MN & SD.
