Territory, OK, and died July 30, 1980 in Corning, Tehama Co., CA.

In this same 1900 Census the next door neighbor is a KING. I dont have any proof of relationship to Elizabeth King. Tom King is renting his property. Number of Farm Schedule is 135.

Aubrey Wilson had said that Britton was still drawing money on Indian land in Tennessee... 16 leagues in one county. This must have been in the early 1900's. I was told that he would have to be enrolled in the tribe to be able to draw on the money. I have not found him yet. The rumor is that the tribe is Cherokee. The area , Montague County points possibly to Chickasaw also. Nellie Puckett, daughter of Annie Wilson above said her mother had told her she was a member of the tribe off the Red River between TX and OK.

From the Oklahoma Historical Society 16 March 1991 in response to my query about the Indian monies.
Dear Janice Chandler,
To answer you letter on drawing Indian money is - one has to be an enrolled Indian of a certain tribe and most likely own land that is in trust with the U.S. Gov. This land money could be lease money on the land for grazing, farming of crops or mineral lease/ royalties on this particular tract.
One must be of Indian descent or enrolled be be able to receive an monies on this. Hope this answers your question.
