Notes for Josiah Mckoy: According to the 1880 census records for Welches Creek Township, Columbus co., North Carolina; Josiah McKay (Mckoy) Sr. was married before he met Izzadora Jones. Josiah Mckay was married to Liddia, her maiden name is unknown to me. Liddia was born in the year of 1845 and during the year of 1880 when the census records was recorded, Liddia was 35 years old and he was 40 years old. Josiah and Liddia had two daughters together their names and births are as followed: Hieritt Mckay born in the year of 1874 and Frazier Mckay was born during the year of 1877. According to Mrs Ruth Jones George Mrs. Liddia packed up her belongings and children and moved back to Florida. She met Josiah in Florida. The reason for him being in flordia is uinknown to me at this time. (another family secret I guess)
