 Includes NotesNotes for Manemia:
According to the columbus county records for 1850, One of the slaves that was born to Jabez Mckay passed away at the age of 3months from whopping cough. This child died in the month of May 1850.
I believe that according to my research and records that this childs mother was Manemia Mckoy. There were no names mentioned on the slave records that I have for 1850. It only states the persons genda and age, and race for that year. I am still searching for facts regarding this matter.
