It was funny because I grandma was the best example of old time wife hood that I would ever have. She was up early, she made breakfest for everyone and made plates for my grandpa and all the men in the house. When my grandpa wanted coffee, she would get up and make it for him. She would make all of us dinner and make us a plate. My mom wasnt too fond of this though, so she raised me to make my on. She would even run bath water for all of us. She didnt think a man should have to work after being at work all day. I remember my grandma rocking me in my grandpas recliner and at church singing I fly away oh glory. I always thought she loved Becka and Thersea more, maybe she did, but looking back I realize she loved me too. My mom tells me I never would stay the night over her house for the longest. I dont even remeber when I did. I remember my grandma loved pictures and little statues of animals. She had plenty of both. I wonder if thats were I get it from. She had dogs, cats, elephants, you name it. As I got older I remember my grandma leading the singing at church, she called me little Alvie, I was named after my great grandfather. I remember her room always smelled like ben gay when she was older.
