Victor Hajek
Aug. 2000
The Hajek Family Tree has always interested me , how it developed under Martin Hajek , especially since he came from the old country. It is even good to know his parents background.
Martin had one child from his first marriage and seven children from his second marriage, which I consider as the major eight branches of the tree. Since many descendants have different last names, possible they would like to see where they fit into this puzzle, without delving through the excellent available historical data. I thought that my format would be somewhat easier to see their name and where they fit.
Very few third generations are alive today, several fourth and many fifth, sixth, and seventh generations are the primary attendees at the reunions. Basically our reunions have revolved around 6 of the eight branches.
At about twenty four years of age I made a " top down" listing of these major branches, so one could see their relationship . But I had many blank spots and my large family too and I somewhat put it aside. Thanks to Marie Newman Gottfried, Pauline Hayek Taylor and many others, they have put together a enormous amount of information over the years, I was able to significantly complete the branches and also provide more information on the later generations and help fill some of the holes.
