1. Frank Herman³ Hayek (Martin² Hajek, Bartolomej¹) was born April 26, 1858 in Freslburg, TX, and died May 29, 1932 in Columbus, Colorado CO., TX. He married (1) Lizzie Wimbum September 19, 1878 in Fayetteville, Fayette CO., TX.. She died Unknown. He married (2) Anna Schultz October 04, 1884 in Fayetteville, TX. She was born February 10, 1865, and died February 16, 1948 in Columbus, Colorado CO., TX.

There is a discrepancy in the date of birth for Frank Hayek
His death records states his year of birth as 1855- other family records show 1858. I have used the date of 1858, but this does not mean that the year is correct. The information for death certificates comes from family members and there is a possibility that Frank Hayek’s wife was in error when she gave that date. But the death certificate is a official document and must be acknowledged. I also feel that the research done by other family members should be taken in to consideration, so therefore I have used what has been reflected in other research..

Frank Hajek eldest son of Martin and Anna was born April 26,1858. He married first Lizzie Wimbum on Sept. 10,1878 in Fayetteville Catholic Church they had one son and then divorced in 1883. Frank married Anna Schultz Anderson on October 4,1884. She had one daughter from her previous marriage. Frank and Anna had six more children. Three lived to adulthood and married. Their descendants live in the Columbus area. Frank died May 29, 1932 at Shaw's Bend. Both he and Anna are buried in Columbus but in different cemeteries.

Fritz and Bud (Frank Jr.) walked to town to sell a pair of Oxen. They had yoked the pair together in order to walk them to town. The people bought the pair of Oxen but the boys had to carry the yoke back to the farm. Bud (Frank Jr.) wore the yoke around his neck. The long walk home carrying the heavy yoke around his neck, rubbed a abscess on the back of Bud’s neck. It became infected and he died from the wound.
