Thank you for your interest in the Thilges Family.
As anyone born with the name knows, Thilges is not your average American surname. According to the 1990 U.S. Census, Thilges is the 32,700th most common name in the country, and as of 1997 there were only about 150 Residential Telephone Listings under the name Thilges. This may be due to the fact that we came Luxembourg, a very small European country tucked in between France, Germany and Belgium.

This web page is just one of many resources which I am working to provide for those with an interest in our family. Thanks to the efforts of Dixie Leah Wallace Thilges, Margot Dondelinger-Thilges, and Maria Jacobs-Thilges I have been able to piece together a good portion of the family history of the descendants of Johann Gregor Thilges (born in 1766). There is still a great deal of work that needs to be done, however, and any information or assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
