He loved his family. He and Beverly, his wife had been to Florida and Allen wanted to take the girls to see the ocean. On their next vacation, Allen and Beverly took the girls to Florida and stayed, I believe, in the house of some friends. Allen was so anxious to take the girls to see the ocean, that on that first morning there he left Beverly at the house and took the girls to the beach. They were playing Frisbee when he had a heart attack. The paramedics were on the beach and were at his side in a couple of minutes but he had died from a massive heart attack.
Beverly had Allen cremated in Florida and brought his ashes home. The last I knew they had not been interred anywhere.

Saturday (7-5-80) after apparently suffering a heart attack in Jacksonville where he and his family were vacationing. He was 37. Mr. Thomas was born in Sharon Oct 2 (sic), 1942, to Roy and Margaret Fulford Thomas. He wa a Farrell High School graduate and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was foreman at Taylor-Winfield Co., Kent, Ohio. Surviving are his wife, the former Beverly Lotka, formerly of Farrell; four daughters, Renee, Lorri, Jo Ellen and Michelle, all at home; his mother of Wheatland, and a brother, Robert, London, England.
