William J. Thomas Jr. of 56 Shenango Blvd., Farrell, son of Mrs Margaret Loosemore Thomas and the late William J. Thomas, died unexpectedly at 4:20 a.m. today in Buhl Hospital where he had been a patient since yesterday. His death came as a shock to his family and friends. He was 41
He was born in Clarksburg, W. Va., Jan. 1, 1908 and had resided in Farrell for 31 years
He was employed as a clerk in the production planning department of the Sharon Steel Corp. Mr. Thomas was a member of the Masonic Lodge and El Bika Grotto of Sharon, New Castle Consistory and the First United Presbyterian Church, Farell, where he served as superintendent of the Sunday School and as a trustee. he was graduated form Farrell High School in 1924.
On Nov. 4, 1933, he married Margaret A. Armstrong, daughter of Atty. and Mrs. Thomas Armstrong, Sharon, who survives with two daughters, Joan and Judy; his mother in Farrell; three sisters, Misses Evelyn, Margaret and Elsie Mae Thomas, Farrell; five brothers, Harry L., Munhall, Roy and George, Farrell, Arthur, Warren, Pa., and Robert, Sharon.
