Notes for Thomas J. Fulford: As reported in The Sharon Herald, Shorn, PA Feb. 10,1933 -- "DIES IN AMBULANCE ON WAY TO HOSPITAL" "Thomas Fulford, aged 43, of 73 Laird Ave., Wheatland, suddenly stricken with a severe attack of pneumonia, died at 11 a.m. today while enroute to Buhl Hospital for treatment.
Mr. Fulford's condition became acute this morning and a hurried call was made for the O.A. McCartney Ambulance. The man, however, succumbed to the illness and was dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Mr. Fulford was born in Wheatland and spent his entire life there. He was formerly constable, a position he held for more than three years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Wlizabeth Williams Fulford, are one son, William, and one daughter, Margaret; two brothers, Henry and Robert, both of Wheatland.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
The Sharon Herald, Sharon, PA Feb. 11,1933 -- "FULFORD SERVICES" "Services honoring the memory of Thomas Fulford, aged 42, well-known former Wheatland constable who died at Buhl Hospital shortly after being admitted yesterday, following a week's illness with pneumonia, will be held at the late home, 73 Laird Ave., at 2:30 p.m. Monday, with Rev. Homer B. Davis, pastor of the First M.E. Church of Sharon, in charge. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Fulford was born in Wheatland and had spent his entire life in the district. He was very well known and his death has caused deep regret. He was the son of William and Mary Howell Fulford, and was a member of the Wheatland M.E. Church. At the time of his death he was employed at the Wheatland Tube Company plant.
Surviving are: his mother, Mary Partell (sic) of Wheatland; his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Williams Fulford; a daughter, Margaret, at home; a son, William, at home; and two brothers, Robert and Henry, of Wheatland."
