LOOMIS HOME

The Loomis family arrived in Massachusetts from Braintree, England in 1638. They traveled to Windsor, Connecticut in 1639 and acquired the land on which this homestead was built in 1640. The original house is still standing and is part of the Loomis-Chaffee Private School.
