Graveside services for Ida L. Tiner McCool, 92, of Athens are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Davis Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Wigley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens. Mrs. McCool died Jan. 23, 2002, in Athens. She was born Jan. 23, 1910, in Athens to lee and Estelle Smith Tiner. Mrs. McCool was a lifelong resident of the Athens area. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Temple Assemble of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton McCool; and son, Robert McCool. Survivors include her daughters, Dorothy Borque and Alice Smiley, both of Athens; daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby and Charles Pillow of Athens, Deanie and Ralph Miller of Poynor, Lynda and Rick Allen of Athens and Shirley and Tom Akers of Desoto, Kan; sister, Jewell Sisson of Athens; brothers, Warren Tiner of Tyler and Arthur Tiner of Athens; daughter-in-law, Faye McCool; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kevin Ward, Jason miller, Bobby Jack Little, Rayford Tiner, Raymond Tiner, Wesley Akers and Ashley Williams. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Services for Dorothy May Tiner, 81, of Athens are scheduled for 1 P.M. Wednesday at Foster & Brown Chapel in Athens with the Rev. O.E. Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens. Mrs. Tiner died March 3, 2001, in Athens. She was born May 8, 1919, in Henderson County to Nick Gandy and Nellei May. Mrs. Tiner was a homemaker. She attended First United Pentecostal Church in Athens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Tiner; and sister, Ivailder Akins. Survivors include her sons, Kineth Ray Tiner of Kemp and David Lee Tiner of Kaufman; daughters, Margaret Hellon Thompson of Brownsboro and Alice Christine Bearden of Portland Ore.; brothers, John T. Gandy of Denison, W.I. Gandy of Tyler and Erwin Nolan Gandy of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Martha Lou Gandy of Arlington and Rutha Faye Moseley of Huenena, Calif.; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
