I am just starting to do this research. My father was Gene Edward Lane, born in Albuquerque, NM on 5 Nov 1926. He had one sister, Marian Lane Hayes, dob unknown, now deceased.
My grandfather was Francis Marion Lane, born in Missouri on 19 July 1887. His father was Marion Lane, born in Missouri, dob unknown. His mother was Eliza Allen, dob and place of birth unknown.
Francis Marion Lane was married to Ruth Beeler. Their marriage license is dated December 1910. The license was issued in Scott County in the state of Arkansas.
Ruth Beeler was born in Arkansas on 13 Nov 1892. Her father is listed on her death certificate as O.D. Beeler, birthplace unk. Her mother is listed on her death certificate as Lizzie Lyles, birthplace unk.
Francis Marion Lane (my grandfather), Ruth Beeler (grandmother), Gene Lane (father) and Marian Lane Hayes (aunt) all died in Los Angeles County.
