He married SARAH DAVIS. She was born Abt. 1753 in Kent Co. Delaware, and died Abt. 1833 in Franklin Co., OH.

  Notes for MATHIAS FURBEE:
1805 was the last year Mathias appeared on a tax list in Monongalia Co., VA.[73] In 1809 Mathias sold to John Arnett 154 acres on Big Pawpaw Creek, adjoining John Furbay, for $700; signed Mathias (M) Furbey; no wits.[80] On 8 FEB 1809 Mathias Furbee, of Williamson Co., TN, made a deed of trust to John Sample & Co. Mathias owed Sample $737.78, payable by 1 MAY 1809. To secure the debt he conveyed 154 acres on the east side of Little Pawpaw Creek, adjoining James Robertson, the land to be sold if payment was not made; signed Mathias (X) Furbee; wits. David (Danl?) Montgomery, Thos. V. Benton, Wm. Huline.
In 1812 a suit was brought by James Clelland against John Arnett in Monongalia Chancery Court concerning the land that Mathias had received from his father and sold to Arnett.
In 1775 Alexander Smith had acquired a right to 400 acres between Little Pawpaw Creek and Big Pawpaw Creek by building a cabin and living in it. Smith sold the land to Isaac Lemasters, who sold it to his son Joseph. Joseph sold it to James Clelland, who had it surveyed and was issued a patent in 1796.
About 1799 Clelland learned that Charles Harryman had obtained title to part of the land and sold it on 19 JUL 1791 to Caleb Furbee, who had taken possession. Furbee asked Clelland not to bring suit and agreed to buy the land from him for $200. There was no written agreement, and Furbee did not make the payment when due.
On 11 OCT 1802 Furbee gave the land to his son Mathias, who sold it to Arnett. Clellan said Caleb and Mathias then left VA without paying him for the land.

Daniel Boyer lived on the land at the time of this sale, but Michael and Mary had lived there previously.

On 20 FEB 1768, William, John, and Uriah Sipple, Mary Arnett, Rachel Manlove, Thomas Jones and Mariam his wife, Elijah West and Charity his wife, Benjamin Furbee and Sarah his wife, and Joanna Sipple, all of Kent Co. and representatives of John Sipple of the same county, the Elder, deceased, sold, for 10 shillings each, 140 acres to Nathaniel Sipple, one of the other children and representatives of John the Elder; John the Elder's will was dated 13 OCT 1752 (K:82); John had bought the 100 acres from Mark Smith and the 40 acres from William Boggs, south of the land John left his son Martenus; signed William W (his mark) Sipple, John S (his mark) Sipple, Uriah Sipple, Mary + (her mark) Arnett, Rachel + (her mark) Manlove, Thomas | (his mark) Jones, Mariam C (her mark) Jones, Elijah West, Charity C (her mark) West, Benjamin Furbee, Sarah § (her mark, a vertical squiggle) Furbee, Joanna Sipple.[107] This deed strongly suggests that the Sarah who married Benjamin Furbee was a daughter of John Sipple the Elder.

On 29 NOV 1782 Benjamin's son Michael petitioned the court to divide Benjamin's land.

On 23 OCT 1788 Benjamin was said to be deceased in a deed executed by his son Michael.

  Notes for ??? KEREN-HAPPUCH:
According to Easton's 1897 Bible Dictionary, the name Keren-happuch means "horn of the face-paint," or cosmetic box, and was the name of Job's third daughter, born after prosperity had returned to him. Job 42:12-15: "So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. He had also seven sons and three daughters. And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch. And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren."

  Notes for BENJAMIN FURBEE:
On 23 OCT 1788 Benjamin's brother Michael was said to be the only surviving heir of their brother Bowers.

On 16 MAR 1790 Thomas Ricketts, Benjamin's administrator, said his personal estate was insufficient to pay his debts and petitioned the court for permission to sell Benjamin's land. Benjamin's father, Benjamin, had died intestate, leaving a widow, Sarah, and three children: Benjamin, Bowers, and Michael. The son Benjamin inherited plot C, 24 acres, and also acquired plot B, 63-1/2 acres, that was allotted to his brother Michael. Benjamin was also entitled to one fourth of his father's real estate that was allotted to Sarah, the plot marked A, 30 acres. Benjamin, who died intestate, unmarried, and without issue, now had three parcels: plots C, B, and A. These were sold to Henry Moleston, the highest bidder, for 66 pounds 10 shillings.
