MICHEAL⁷ FURBY (MICHEAL⁶ FURBEE, MICHAEL⁵, BENJIMAN⁴, BENJAMIN FURBEE³ [FURBY], BENJAMIN FURBEE², FELIX¹ FURBEE) was born March 01, 1796 in Allegany Co., MD, and died May 03, 1887 in Kanawha Dist., Braxton Co., WV. He married LOUISA OR LUCRETIA JEFFERS July 11, 1822 in Harrison Co., VA, daughter of EPHRAIM JEFFERS and TABITHA NORMAN. She was born Abt. 1806, and died 1853.

Notes for MICHEAL FURBY:
His date of birth and death and his parentage are documented by his death cetificate on file in the Braxton County WV clerk's office.

In 1812 Michael was bound out to John Hays of Harrison Co., VA, to learn metalworking and nailmaking until he reached the age of 21; at the time, his age was given as 14.

In 1813 he was again bound out to John Hays, this time to learn farming, and his age was given as 15.

Michael's birthplace is given as MD in the 1860/70 census and by his son Wilson in the 1880 and 1900 census, VA in the 1880 census, and Allegheny Co. (no state named) in his death record.

In 1830 his household had a female 20-30, one under 5, and one 5-10; also, in addition to himself, there were two males under 5.

In 1880 he had a granddaughter, Sarah J. Conley, 11, living with him.
