Dorotha Pearl Shuman, 77, of Wileyville, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at New
Martinsville Health Care Center. She was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Wileyville, a
daughter of the late Levi Kaufman and Jettie Ann Ice Shuman.
Surviving are three sisters, Genova McBee, Wileyville, Pansy Starkey,
Mannington, and Mildred Moore, Hannibal, Ohio; 10 nieces, eight nephews, 15
great-nieces, 17 great-nephews, and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
Miss Shuman was a member of the Long Valley Church of Christ near Wileyville.
She was retired from Fairmont General Hospital, Fairmont, where she was a
registered nurse and supervisor for 42 years.
Friends were received 2-9 p.m. Friday at Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove, where services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment in Moore Cemetery, Wileyville, WV. [Clarksburg Exponent-Telegram, Clarksburg, WV, 11 February 1999]
