The Last Name UMFLAT is not usually; I found in the dictionnary of Jewish surnames from kingdom of poland that this surname exist only in Bilgoraj. All that I know is that my grandgreathfather was Jakob UMFLAT; is born in 1870 in Krasnik and maried with nechuma laja Miernik; He's died in 1929in Warsawa; He had 3 children Moishe (1903), Abrahm (1905) and Golda who's died in Auscwhitz, she was married with Jakob Mingelgrün. Some years ago my brohter Daniel who's died in july 1999 in Paris, found 2 UMFLAT on Yahoo.com. I phoned to Rubby Umflat, she's now 90 years and she's born in Bilgoraj. I'm sure that we come from the same ancestor; I found some informations on this website about Morris UMFLAT, the brother of Rubby, but I didn't found any information until today to confirm my impression. I hope that someone will read one day this message and will send us a message of hope.
