Mum with David, Auntie Carol and Auntie Mary

This was taken on one of our picnics over the Allesley fields (now the Coundon Wedge) about 1944.Auntie's Carol and Mary lodged with us during the war. They came from London and worked on munitions at the Standard Factory in Tile Hill.I was Carol's bridesmaid when she married Ernie in 1945 and she became Roger's Roger's God-mother with Eric and Gladys Penn, friends of Dad who were the other God-parents.
