Notes for Richard Edward Geren: Lived in Lavon which was settled in 1854. The city was named after Lavon Thompson (or Thomason) son of Elbert C. Thomason who was a Christian minister who operated the first post office in his store. The Gerens were among the early settlers in Lavon.
