6. LEONA MYRTLE4 WANTZ (JOSEPH3, NICHOLAS2, NICHOLAS1) was born Jan 7, 1910 in Upham, ND. She married HENRY ANTHONY GORES Dec 27, 1928 in Cando, ND, son of JOHN GORES and ELIZABETH KENAKEL. He was born Jun 13, 1894 in St. Anthony, MN, and died Jul 18, 1988 in Minot, ND.

Notes for HENRY ANTHONY GORES:
Henry was raised at Bisbee, North Dakota, and married Leona Myrtle WANTZ at Cando, ND, on Dec 27, 1928. Following their marriage they lived at Cando and Devils Lake, ND. He was a brake-man conductor for the Burlington Northern Railroad in central and north-western North Dakota. In 1947, the couple came to Minot where he was a conductor for that railroad. He retired in Minot after 44 years of service with the railroad. Following his retirement the couple continued to live in Minot with the exception of a six year period of time when they lived in Bremerton. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot, and was a former member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton. He also belonged to the United Transportation Union, the Great Northern Veterans Association, and was a member of the World War One Veterans of the U.S.A. Inc. He served in the U.S. Army in that war in France with the railroad engineers.       Final resting place: Bremerton, Washington, Monday, July 25, 1988, in the family property there at Woodlawn Cemetery.
