Notes for RUTH AUDREY TURNBULL: Both acquired their Masters' Degree and taught school at Stockton, DA, until volunteers were being called for the Peace Corps. They volunteered, received their training at UCLA and were sent to Abeokuta, Idi-Aba, Western Nigeria for two years. They enjoyed their work there tremendously. Ruth Audrey taught Art and David taught Physical Education at the Women's Training Center. They finished their assegment June 1, 1964, and returned to Stockton, CA, where they resumed teaching. |
