George H. Blacketer served in Co K of the Civil War regiment 4th TN Cavalry (Union). He enlisted Feb 19, 1864, and stated at that time that he was age 18, b Mercer Co., KY. However, the 1850 Mercer Co census has a George BLACKKE age 4, which would make him 16 when he enlisted. Two other sons in that family, ADDISON and DAVID, both served in Co H of the 1st KY Cav.
