Old Duncan Home at Lawrenceburg, Kentucky

This home was located on the land that Benjamin Duncan purchased in the early 1800's. The Salt River ran along the western boundry of the Duncan farm. Benjamin Duncan died in 1820 when Matthew was 3 years and Mark was 6 months old. Their mother, Susannah, continued to farm this land and raised her children here. Matthew Duncan continued to live here where he fathered 20 children. This house burned several years ago along with the Family Bible.
