I have documents that expain the origins of my Great Grandmother (Josephina Maria Otero Gonzalez)and the dates of events. In the consulado de Espana en las Islas Filipinas it said," that on October 9 of said year 1902, Mr. Jose Luis Otero y Portela, born in Seville in the year 1863, presented the necessary documents to prove his Spanish Nationality and was inscribed as Spanish subject together with his wife Mrs. Joesphina Otero Gonzalez and their daughter Miss Josephina Gonzalez(My Great Grandmother). The document also stated that Josephina Gonzalez(my Great Grandmother's mother) was the daughter of Fernando Gonzalez(he was a colonel in the Spanish army). She was also, the niece of Rev. Ceferino Gonzalez(he was a Cardinal of the archbishop of Seville in the 1890s). The documents also, stated that the Otero family was related to Don Joaquin Pacheco who was a general in the Spanish army and governer of Valencia. Another relative was Don Antonio Pacheco(brother of Joaquin) who was also, a general in the Spanish army and later retired with the late Mons. Ceferino Gonzalez, Archbishop of Seville. My great Grandmother had siblings but i do not know how many. I know that she did have a sister(I do not know her name). It is important to mention that my Great Grandmother was baptised in the church called Saint Nicolas De Bari which is in Sevilla, Spain. My Great Gandmother married John Lewis Weaver from the U.S. I believe that they met in the Phillipines in Manila(my great grandmother's family had business there). My Grandfather was her son who was also named John Lewis Weaver passed away five years ago. Recently my Aunt Josephine Weaver(his sister) died this past summer. If anybody could give me any information at all about possible relatives or anything else, I would greatly appreciate it. I hope the pictures will be helpful.
