After getting 8 children raised and retiring from teaching school, I finally have time to get serious about genealogy, but I have lots to learn. My father Jess Thomas Keeler spent a great deal of his life trying to locate information on his family. It is ironic that in just a few short months, using the Internet and e-mailing cousins, I have been able to find probably 10 times more than he ever did in his life time. I really feel we've been blessed to live in a time such as this!
Evans/Keeler/Murphy reunion July 1, 2000 in Pocatello, Idaho. An annual get-to-gether for all relatives of my grandma Ruth Evans Keeler Murphy.
Ebenezer Keeler Line: Recently found great information on Sarah Ann Reed's family though county records in Shelbyville, Illinois. (See history in link section below)
In a related note: Ebenezer's Granddaughter, Nina Keeler Donat just celebrated her 100th birthday Feb. 18, in Pocatello, Idaho. We attended and had a grant time meeting all her family & friends. We expect her to live another 10 years! She's alert and very conversational. (Her story in link section)
Henderson/Thomas Line: In a similar vein found family Bible with Thomas records in Montana. Link to Benjamin Thomas below.
