She married WILLIAM ALBERT SOUTHWICK 12 March 1866 in New Bedford, Bristol, MA146, son of WILLIAM SOUTHWICK and CHARLOTTE FISHER. He was born 1845 in East Haddam, Middlesex, CT147, and died 15 May 1897 in Higganum, Middlesex, CT147.

ILLIAM ALBERT SOUTHWICK:
William Albert Southwick was born in the Moodus section of East Haddam, CT in 1845. During the Civil War he was a private in CO I of the 7th Connecticut Infantry Regiment. He was mustered in on October 18, 1861 and reenlisted as a veteran on January 2, 1864. On May 16, 1864, he was captured at the battle of Drewry's Bluff in Virginia . He was imprisoned at the notorious Andersonville prison in Georgia. William A. Southwick was paroled on April 28, 1865 and mustered out on June 28, 1865. He married first Emma W. Cole about 1866 and was living in Taunton, Massachusetts by 1867. His occupation was listed as ironworker on the birth certificate of his son, William Albert. His second wife was Julia Ann Havens who he married in 1876. They lived in the South Farms section of Middletown and he worked in a factory there. On May 13, 1897, he left his home in Middletown, CT aboard a small sailboat. He was going to sail down the Connecticut river to visit his daughter in Saybrook. A man in Higganum last saw him holding onto the capsized sailboat. Several days later his body was discovered in the river. William Albert Southwick is buried in a veterans grave in the Moodus cemetary across from the Catholic Church.
