On March 11, 2000, Ancestry.com offered the AIS Mississippi Census Index as a free database. The people listed are ONLY the Heads of Household. Family members were not included. I do not remember if I pulled every WYATT listed in that database, and I know that I did not pull any variant spellings of the name, so please understand that this is far from an exhaustive list of the WYATT migration into Mississippi.
Ancestry offered the information in an alphabetical format, starting with the most recent Census and going back in time. I have reorganized the information by putting it in chronological and county sequence. That is, I started with the earliest WYATT in the list, William Wyatt. Since he was in Madison County (1813), I began with Madison County. The next earliest WYATT mentioned was Absalom Wyatt of Marshall County (1840). Therefore, Marshall County was listed next, and so forth. I hope this will help you to see the movement of the various WYATT clans in Mississippi.
You will note that in many instances, what may be the same person appears to be listed as many as four times in the same census and even on the same page of the census. Because I have not yet seen the actual census records, I cannot say whether or not these are multiple listings of the same person, or listings of different people. Since each was assigned a different reference number in the Ancestry.com database, I am assuming they appeared separately in the records. I will attempt to view the censuses in question and rectify any confusion on this matter, OR if you have already seen these particular censuses and would care to share your knowledge, I would greatly appreciate it!
If you are looking for a particular individual, please use your "find" capability. In future I will try to link each of the people listed below to web sites that give their vital statistics. If you know of such a web site, please let me know and I will gladly create the link.

(This is the county where Chiz and John E. Wyatt ran a furniture

the same town as Chiz and John had the

We know the store was operating in 1880, but John and Chiz do not appear

between
1870 and 1880. Was it Jackson WYATT who told them about the
burgeoning
economy there (a factory had just opened and was pulling people from
all over
the state)? Another Jackson WYATT was living in Madison County MS
