My great-great grandfather, Atchison Mellin emigrated from VanBuren, Onondaga, NY to Reading, Hillsdale, MI circa 1850. Another Atchison Mellin served in the Amerian Revolution for the Penn.Continental Line, pensioned in Lycoming, Pennsylvania before moving to Onondaga, NY to be with his children. This Mellen/Mellin/Mullin branch is a huge frustration for me. Using Ancestry.com, I am collecting a large file of material with these surnames from NY, PA, VT and MI. I am happy to receive your help and to offer my own!
