Col., Gov. Conrad Meyer Zulick (b. June 03, 1839, d. March 01, 1926)

Conrad Meyer Zulick (son of Anthony Zulick and Jane Morton Cummings)¹¹¹ was born June 03, 1839¹¹², and died March 01, 1926 in Asbury Park, NJ. He married Caroline Nightingale.

ZULICK, C. MEYER, soldier, lawyer, jurist, governor, was born June 3, 1839, in Easton, Pa. He entered the union army as adjutant of the second regiment District of Columbia volunteers; rose to the rank of lieutenant-colonel, and was honorably mustered out of the service. He resumed the practice of law at Newark, N. J.; and was appointed collector of internal revenue for the fifth district of New Jersey. In 1879 he was elected surrogate judge of Essex county; and in 1885 was appointed governor of the territory of Arizona, which office he filled with great distinction.
