Jo, Thanks for your kind and encouraging info.I found a letter from the State in my deceased adoptive mother's belongings.It stated that they could not locate my birth certificate in Little Rock.I was then convinced that there actually WAS no birth cert. because I might have been born at home.The young unwed mother was just 16.She gave me to her older married sister to raise.The State took me away from them when they found out the sister's husband had TB.I was not actually given up for adoption --- I was taken away and put into the Foster Care system for a few years until I was adopted by a really old couple when I was age 4.After the death of my adoptive parents I located the doctor who's name was on the "faked" birth cert.Talked to him on the phone, he said he was NOT delivering babies during the time that I was born, but he was teaching in a hospital in Little Rock.I don't havename of the married sister who took me, but did find birth mother's name. That's about all.If you have any more clues, please let me know. CE
