It is unbelievable to me that features present in previous versions have been dismissed in 2008.
Books are not available any longer. Some people may have hundreds of hours writing books in previous versions that are no longer accessible. I certainly do.
Find and Replace is missing.
I have little doubt that these issues aren't all that would cause LOYAL users to start looking elsewhere for quality software.
I have spent about more than ten hours testing 2008 and am ready to toss it. 2008 appears to have been released when it was only half completed. It certainly is headed the right direction. There is a great deal of work invested in 2008, but has the company lost it's mind?
I won't do any serious work using 2008. I feel like I have invested money in the beta version and am going to have to go back to my previous version. I learned long ago to make CD dopies of my last file created in previous versions so I could salvage work that might be damaged by new versions. That practice has probably saved my research once again. Yes, the company damaged my file once and I lost several months of research due to their BUG. They admitted there was a problem, but took no responsibility for consumer loss.
This time I'll be looking seriously at other products.
