Publishing a Brothers Keeper Database
This is probably common knowledge but I am new to the subject of publishing genealogy information and I could use some advice. We have built up a database with several thousand descendants of one common ancestor covering about 14 generations using Brothers Keeper just on a workstation. We also have a web site for our family history but this free site does not have an ability to make our database available through our web page.
We would like to find some place to host our database without having too many strings attached, we know there probably has to be some as we could not afford a completely fee based site.We would then link our web page to that site as a family research service.
About our only requirement is that there is some kind of a log in control so that a person would have to know some kind of an access account to be able to access the data and another account to be able to go on to do updates.
It would also be good if people with read only access could send us an update file (a gedcom?) of suggested updates to our database which we could then apply after reviewing their additions, their sources etc.
