Dear Joanna, Here is Andrew J. Clark's SSDI (Social Security Death Index) record of his death.
Name: Andrew Clark SSN: 200-16-5528 Last Residence: 18444Moscow, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, United States of America Born: 3 Dec 1892 Died: Aug 1967 State (Year) SSN issued: Pennsylvania (Before 1951)
This is a different date of birth from the one that was on the family tree of n7byd I posted. This is the date used for Social Security and for his World War II draft card.
I found his World War II draft card, but it is a photo, and so I can't post it here.It says he has some kind of problem or mark on the inside of his right arm.The serial number is 778, and the date is April 7, 1942.He was unemployed at the time, but his occupation on the 1930 census is miner.(His brother Hugh was also a miner.)
On the 1920 and 1930 censuses he says he arrived in the United States in 1911 and was naturalized in 1918.
Andrew and his mother and sister Cecelia all arrived in the US in 1911.I cannot read when the women were naturalized, but it looks like 1918, too.
There is more information on Andrew on the 1891 and 1901 Scottish censuses on www.ancestry.com
I have not been able to find the name Andrew, Mary, and Cecelia's ship, and I have not been able to find anyone's gravesite. Sincerely, Kate
