My ancestor Elias Lefever or Lefevre owned Bonnetts or Resurvey of Bennets Resolution 1768 to 1803 when he died. Earlier, the other half of this property on Hunting Creek, Frederick Co. on the road from Frederick to Graceham was owned by David Lefevre was sold to I belive Thomas Johnson, the immediate neighbors of Davidand Elias was Thomas Johnson, as shown in the 1790 and 1800 federal census Emmitsburg District. The heirs of Elias Lefeber under MD Law - Descents sold by 1807 the remainder of Bennetts Resolution to "the Johnson Brothers", including Thomas. The wife of Elias was a Mary Salome (maiden name unknown) born about 1748.She could have been a Johnson or Baltzell as Christian Lefever, Charles Balsel & Thomas Johnson all served together as officers in the American Revolution.I think my Lefevers may be buried in Johnson or Balsel cemetery or on the origional property.
