Re: Thomas Dunnell/Jimmy Johnson (NASCAR)

Two of my ancestors (brothers) were stonemasons and each took in one of the sons of a woman who could no longer care for them. The boys earned their keep and learned to be stonemasons.Worked well all around:Ancestors got extra help with their business and the boys learned a trade.

This may be the case with Dunnell, who was a farmer.
