I’ve been around genealogy long enough to know that almost anything is possible, and my philosophy is to accept whatever the facts show, regardless of what that is.That is to say, I am not one who tries to work around uncomfortable facts, or who tries to bend facts to match preconceived notions. But, there is simply nothing in the paper trails of my 43/43 match and me to suggest a relationship closer than the 6/7 generations.
Regarding twins, my Dad’s sisters are the only documented ones in my Tutt line going all the way back to the MRCA that the paper trail suggests for my 43/43 match and me.Further, I was the third consecutive only son in my Tutt line.Fourth, if you count my Great Grandfather, Andrew (b. 1866), whose only brother died at age 12.Their parents were first cousins.
Finally, there is nothing in the paper trails showing that the lines of my 43/43 match and me after that apparent MRCA ever crossed paths.
