Tab key prompts to program to not respond

Help!I'm trying to enter new data and every time I hit the tab key to go to the next field I am knocked out of the program.There is no cursor in any field.I go to Task Manager and find that the program isn't responding and have to end the task.Any suggestions on why this is happening and how to fix it?Thanks!
