I did a survey of pilots for a Computer Science graduate school project on use of “Computer-assisted cockpit devices” in 1986. I made up a survey with SASE and had several pilot friends give them to pilots in Washington and Chicago airports. The survey was anonymous. About half my surveys were returned. This gave me ‘original research’ and good material for a Human-Computer Interaction course. I thank those pilots for one of the few A given in the class.
If this student is sincere, I suggest an anonymous on-line survey.
