FYI in those days Austria was part of the Habsbure Empire aka Austria-Hungary, which incl all or part of the modern countries of Austria, Hungary, Poland, Czech Rep, Ukraine, Russia, Slovakia, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia, Romania and Montenegro.

Using genealogy placename search for such a place or anyplace that begins with Wad or Vad finds no close match.Where are you finding this placename?

Did this couple marry in Europe or in the US?Did the immigrate to the US? If so when?Where did they settle?What is their birthdate?

Are they the couple found in Indiana 1880 census?
