Mary,

Thank you for doing that search (Ancestry) I was about to try at a library, no use now. It is frustrating not to find him, the ship and arrival date. But just one of those lost or perhaps...not found yet, cases. Would you know this? could his name be in DC, Library of Congress under ship arrivals/Archives? Would all immigrant arrivals been recorded there?Be one of those endless like searches since I haven't any actual arrival date other than the year. Can't make it there anyway, but just wondered. Also cannot do that type of search from here, either.

I have a copy of the page from naturalization, but no info on it other than his country of origin, which was listed as Russia. Interesting! (my aunt had told me he had been in the Prussian army & the census page indicates origin as from Germany) And his name on the naturalization was as Frederick Charles Krannor Charles Frederick as it was not clear in way written. Guess many things got mixed up.

The one(name) in Cleveland census (1900)is him though.I am 99.999percent sure.

Thanks for your reply and should you by chance come across something new or way to search do let me know.Another person thought perhaps the name was a Fried Krahn, who arrived in 1892, just in case arrival date was wrong or name was spelled wrong. That person however went to Philadelphia and I have not found more per that name, either.
Mary A.
