Oh, I see now.You did show me this document before, but I did not understand the meaning of Vestre Faengsel when I looked at it.So, you have this document proving that she was in the prison in November 1915.Here is my guess:the Politiets registerblade does not show any address for her from April 1915 until November 1915, so maybe she returned in November and went directly to Vestre Faengsel. What do you think about this?In 1915, World War I was going on (but Denmark was neutral, right?).It took some courage to sail back to Denmark in 1915! Many ships were being sunk.Maybe all people who arrived from living overseas during wartime had to be temporarily in the prison until they could prove who they were? Can you look at other people in the Politiets registerblade at the same time, find ones who also were in Vestre Faengsel, and see if they also were returning emigrants?Well, you cannot see them returning but you may find them entering New York harbour earlier.I know it is a big project.Too bad you can not see Danish prison records for an explanation, that would be easier.
Best of luck....!
