Unknown son of William Marcus Worley

Trying to locate missing son of my Uncle Bill/William Marcus Worley. My Uncle had married a woman from a well off family.When she died, her family took their son and raised him..He was born sometime between 1935 ? to 1939.Possibly Illinois or California these are the two states that I had heard mentioned as I was growing up. My Uncle was born in NC but raised in Washington state.
