Ralph/Raoul Toesny 1 2 3, children+spouses c. 1000-1200

I'm confused.

Amicia de Montfort/Amice de Montfort/Uta Waiet d: after 1168-08-31 and she married Robert ii de Beaumont 2nd earl of LeicesterShire/Robert le bossu/Robert the hunch-back

But who were Amice/Amicia's parents and grand-parents... really?

Ralph ii de Gael/Ralph de Guader/Radulfus Waders/Ralph ii de Waer/Raoul ii de Toesny seigneur de Conches en Ouche/Rauel ii de Toesny/Ralph ii de Tonei/Ralph de Toesny seigneur de Conches/Ralph Tosny/Ralph de Toeni/Ralph de Tonei/Ralph de Tony/Ralph de Toni/Ralph de Todeni/Ralph de Tosney/Raoul de Conches/Raoul de Toeny/Raf Thoney/Rafe de Tosny/Ralph ii de Gael/Ralph de Guader/Radulfus Waders/Ralph ii de Waer/Raoul ii de Toesny seigneur de Conches en Ouche/Ralph ii de Tonei/Raoul ii de Montfort seigneur de Montfort et Gael earl of East Anglia
(son of Ralph de Toesny or Roger i de Toesny or ?? & Adelaide or Godehildis)
m: Isabel de Montfort (d of Simon of Montfort/Simon i de Montfort & Isabel de Broyles)... becoming Isabel of Conches through marriage?

Roger Toesny i was the son of Raoul i of Tosny seigneur de Conches

Roger Toesny i page gives his son as Raoul ii

Roger i of Toesny's daughter Adelise/Adeliza de Tosny married William Fitz Osbern as is given in the Roger Toesny i and William Fitz Osbern pages and
Ralph de Gael 1st earl of Norfolk m: Emma Fitz William (d of Guillaume fils Osbern/William fitz Osbern & Adeliza de Toesny)

but we're also told that Ralph de Gael 1st earl of Norfolk earl of East Anglia was son of Ralph the staller
ooorrrr maybe Ralph de Gael was Ralph the staller??
or maybe there is some completely different set of relationships

(fils is French for the latin filius or English fitz or Aramaic bar or Hebrew ben or Gaelic ap or "son of", patronymics being often used in English genealogies for "illegitimate" children; and Guillaume is a French equivalent of English William; hence Guillaume fils Osbern = William Fitz Osbern)

Of course, the numberings were/are often applied more or less arbitrarily by later genealogists in their attempts to sort people out and were often not used by the individuals, themselves.Perhaps I'm just conflating earls, or maybe we're separating one person into 2 or 3, but others seem to be confused by this knot, too.

Does anyone have access to the books and/or docs that might help sort this out?
